Toronto, ON – |FAT| Arts & Fashion Week, now in its 8th year, has officially launched its first ever fashion film titled “FASHION THERAPY”. Coinciding with its theme

under the same name, “FASHION THERAPY” reveals a theatrical approach to this season’s sub-themes: fashionDRAMA, fashionCRAVING, fashionCRISIS , fashionESCAPE, and fashionEUPHORIA.

This independent production by producer Shawn Venasse (The Savage Film Company) and writer/director Zenon Turczyn (Zen Artists), in collaboration with |FAT| creator, Vanja Vasic, captures this year’s fashion ideas on an engaging level, attracting |FAT| followers and admirers beyond the runway and studio.

Ban Ki-moon Reopens Danish Masterpiece in United Nations Headquarters

Thursday, April 25th marks the reopening of the Trusteeship Council Chamber at the United Nations Headquarters.

For the past three years, the Trusteeship Council Chamber at the UN, originally designed by renowned Danish architect Finn Juhl in 1952, has been closed for a grand-scale restoration. In a close collaboration between the UN and the government of Denmark, the Trusteeship Council Chamber has been completely restored and updated with new furniture, designed by Danish design-duo Kasper Salto and Thomas Sigsgaard.

It now stands as a perfect example of both the legacy and the future of Danish architecture and design in one of the most iconic buildings in New York.

In attendance at the opening ceremony will be H.E. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, HRH the Crown Princess of Denmark and the Executive Director of Capital Master Plan, Assistant Secretary General Michael Adlerstein and designers Kasper Salto and Thomas Sigsgaard.

The restoration of the Trusteeship Council Chamber was carried out as a collaborative effort by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Danish Ministry of Culture, Realdania, and the United Nations.

Washington, DC — Capitol Hill Supportive Services (CHSS) presents a special Washington, DC showing of “Love In A Day,” as a part of the organization’s Grand Opening & Ribbon-Cutting Gala. CHSS, along with Tenacious Productions and award-winning author Darryl James will present an evening of art, music and theater with the hit stage play “Love In A Day” in Washington, DC on May 17 at 7pm and again on May 18 at 4pm.

Capitol Hill Supportive Services Program, Inc., (CHSSP) has a proud 20 year history of providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Their programs and residential home are located in the historic Capitol Hill area. The Overall Mission Of Capitol Hill Supportive Services Program, Inc. (CHSSP) Is To Enhance Opportunities And Experiences That Encourage Decision-Making And Independence For Individuals With Development Disabilities.

The Grand Opening & Ribbon-Cutting Gala will introduce the program to the Greater Washington, DC area, while also delivering an evening of high quality entertainment to board members, supporters and the general public. All ticket sales benefit this powerful community organization!

“Love In A Day” is a story of love in the age of troubled relationships and is a powerful presentation of people in love holding on to love through daunting challenges.

If you believe in love, you will believe stronger, but you will believe. Each couple in the play is seeking to rebuild their relationship on a relationship retreat lead by a relationship coach and his assistant, working through their difficulties to find love. The atmosphere, the discussion and the vibes spark chemistry as each person falls in love in a day.

The play is written and directed by Darryl James, an award-winning author (“LA Riots…Revolution”), lecturer, syndicated columnist and the publisher of Tenacious Books, a boutique publishing house for self-publishing authors.

James has lectured for the National Council of Negro Women, the National Urban League, The Black American Law Students Association (BALSA) and the NAACP, in addition to radio stations, colleges and universities across the nation. As a relationship coach, James has provided relationship insight for Ebony Magazine, the NAACP, the National Urban League and the National Council of Negro Women. The production will continue to create fundraising opportunities for community organizations.
