Your Management Team is launching The Entrepreneur Exchange,an education program helping small businesses increase their revenue, expand their workforce, and provide a greater impact on their local economies. The Entrepreneur Exchange is funded by the Small Business Administration’s Scale Up America program and is provided at no cost to participants. The program is open to businesses at least 2 years old whose annual revenue is between $150,000 – $500,000. A 12 month commitment is required and only 30 companies will be selected to participate. Classes start January 20, 2015 and applications are due by December 20, 2014.

Nominations for 2015 National Small Business Week Awards Now Being Accepted!

The Columbus District Office will also be accepting nominations for the following District level awards: Financial Services Advocate of the Year; Minority Small Business Advocate of the Year; Veteran’s Small Business Advocate of the Year and the Women’s Small Business Advocate of the Year. The U.S. Small Business Administration Columbus District Office is proud to announce that SBA’s online portal is ready to accept nominations for its 2015 National Small Business Week Awards, including the annual Small Business Person of the Year award and others named below. SBA has been following the mantra – Smart, Bold and Accessible in the way the agency conducts business. This is now the third year SBA has been using the online portal submission process, a great and smart improvement from years past. The improved dedicated web portal http://awards.sba.gov provides all the guidelines and has made it much easier to submit and track submissions of nominees for National Small Business Week.
All nominations must be submitted online, postmarked or hand delivered to the SBA no later than 3 p.m. EST, Monday, Jan. 5, 2015. In addition to the portal, nominations can also be sent directly to SBA’s Columbus District Office, at 401 N. Since 1963, National Small Business Week has recognized the outstanding achievements of America’s small businesses for their contributions to their local communities, and to our nation’s economy. For over 50 years, SBA will continue its tradition in honoring the nation’s 28 million small businesses. SBA Awards given in celebration of National Small Business Week include the following awards:
