September 10, 10 am – SBA Women and Veteran’s Federal Contracting Program – This FREE 2 hour SBA class will provide information on each program to become a successful entrepreneur in the contracting arena. Topics covered include eligibility requirements for service disabled veteran-owned small business concerns, the Veterans Advantage Loan Guaranty Program, eligibility requirements for the Women Owned Small Business Contracting Program, and how the WOSB Program can provide significant opportunities for women entrepreneurs.

September 10, 6 pm – Create Your Business Plan Using Your Smartphone – This 2.5 hour class, hosted by the ACE Women’s Business Center, will discuss how to create your business plan through Business Plan App. The activities in the App are highly interactive, asking users a series of simple, straight-forward questionads that gather critical information and present business concepts in a way that is intuitive and easy to understand. Cost is $99.

September 15, 10 am – How To Access the WOSB Federal Contract Program Repository – This FREE 45 minute SBA webinar will provide information on how to use the General Login System (GLS) and the WOSB Program Repository. This webinar will provide you with instructions on how to register in GLS and how to upload documents into the repository for the Women Owned Small Business Certification Program.

About Andrew Mackenzie:
Mr. Mackenzie was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of BHP Billiton in May of 2013. He joined in 2008 as Chief Executive Non-Ferrous with responsibility for over half of BHP Billiton’s 100,000 strong workforce across four continents. His portfolio included Escondida in Chile, the world’s largest single source of copper.
He has over thirty years’ experience in oil and gas, petrochemicals and minerals and has held senior positions in BP and Rio Tinto. He has been a non-executive Director of Centrica and has served on the Audit, Remuneration and Corporate & Social Responsibility committees. He has also chaired Demos, one of the UK’s most influential think-tanks.
Andrew has a doctorate in Chemistry and a first-class degree in Geology. In early 2014 he was announced as being on the Science Council’s list of top 100 UK practicing scientists. In May 2014 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of London.
