This position is located in the Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in Kansas City, MO. – This position is inside the bargaining unit. – This is a student internship appointment that is expected to last for more than one year. PLEASE NOTE: To be appointed to this position, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment on at least a half-time basis at a qualifying academic institution at the time of appointment, and must maintain such enrollment throughout the duration of the appointment. – Appointee must sign a DOL Pathways Intern Program Participant Agreement. – The entire duration of the internship constitutes a trial period. – Appointee must be a U.S. citizen in order to be eligible for conversion to a permanent position in the competitive service upon completion of the internship. Upon completion of requirements for graduation and successful completion of the internship, the appointee may become eligible for non-competitive conversion, at the agency’s discretion, to a term or permanent position in the competitive service. To be converted appointee must meet the required minimum qualifications for Economist GS-0110 or Statistics GS-1530.
