The First Lady welcomed more than 130 middle school, high school, and college students from across the country for “The Musical Legacy of Ray Charles: Student Workshop” at the White House on February 24, 2016. She was joined by Robert “Bob” Santelli, Executive Director of The GRAMMY Museum, Yolanda Adams, Leon Bridges, Andra Day, Demi Lovato and Jussie Smollett. The workshop was held in advance of “Smithsonian Salutes Ray Charles: In Performance at the White House.”
