Coronavirus (COVID-19) — Yoshi’s Oakland
To our patrons,
Yoshi’s main priority has always been the safety of anyone that comes through our doors. With the recent outbreak of Coronavirus COVID-19, we wanted to take a moment to let you know that we are closely monitoring the situation and taking proactive steps to ensure the welfare of our patrons, staff and community.
In compliance with the mandated guidelines from the Governor of California Gavin Newsom and Alameda County on March 12, 2020, Yoshi’s will be lowering capacity for all shows effective immediately for the remainder of March.
Per recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, below is a short list of the primary precautions that have been implemented since the start of the initial outbreak:
– Alcohol-based hand rubs are present throughout the club and restaurant
– As always, sanitation of both the club and restaurant occur nightly with an increased focus on all shared surfaces
– Additional sanitation happens on a regular basis throughout the day following strict protocols
– Staff are required to clean their hands often with either alcohol-based hand sanitizer or soap/water for the CDC suggested 20 seconds
– Our staff has been asked to refrain from work with even the slightest flu-like symptoms
– The start time of late shows on nights with two shows might be delayed in order to allow our staff to properly sanitize the whole club
We encourage our patrons to take standard precautions which include hand washing and staying home if you feel ill. Please consult the Yoshi’s ticket refund policy.
As the situation unfolds, we will continue to re-access our sanitation protocols and follow the guidance provided by local, state and federal agencies.
Sincerely,
Yoshi’s Oakland
